When we take on a new member of staff they undergo the Skills for Care Induction Standards which complies with the Care Quality Commissions Essential Standards of Quality and Safety. As well as Health and Social Care Act 2008.
We have an in- house training schedule for our carers.
We train all of our carers with core courses in:
· First Aid Awareness
· Health and Safety
· Moving and Handling
· Medication
· Adult Safeguarding Awareness/ Challenging behaviour
· Dementia (the person centered approach)
· Fire Safety
· Food Hygiene
· Infection Control
· Hoist Training

We have two monthly supervision and yearly appraisal to measure staff performance and ensure we continue to provide a high standard of care that meet our client person centered needs.
